The latest Pixar project, Dream Productions, has just dropped a brand new trailer giving us an even deeper look into the behind-the-scenes antics of Riley’s mind.
The first Pixar series since 2022’s Cars on the Road, Dream Productions is amping up its marketing ahead of a release this December. The series serves as a spin-off of Inside Out and branches the first film and Inside Out 2, following Riley (Kensington Tallman) at age 12.
In the trailer, we get proper looks at the crew behind the dreams Riley experiences both while asleep and conscious. These dreams are the product of a chaotic crew consisting of specialists in nightmares, daydreams and more. Watch the trailer below:
The trailer gives us some glimpses at the returning cast of Inside Out, with emotions Joy, Anger, Sadness, Disgust and Fear, but not the new emotions of Inside Out 2, due to the timeline of the series. A series logline reads as follows:
Taking place in between the events of Inside Out and Inside Out 2 is Pixar Animation Studios’ Dream Productions, an all-new series about the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true—every night, on time and on budget. Riley is growing up and when her memories need some extra processing, Joy and the rest of the Core Emotions send them to Dream Productions. Acclaimed director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell) faces a nightmare of her own: Trying to create the next hit dream after being paired up with Xeni (voice of Richard Ayoade), a smug daydream director looking to step up into the big leagues of night dreams.
A poster was also released for the series:
Dream Productions stars Paula Pell as Paula Persimmon, Richard Ayoade as Xeni, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki. Inside Out 2 cast members Kensington Tallman, Amy Poehler, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith return as Riley, Joy, Disgust, Fear, Anger, and Sadness. The series was created by Mike Jones and is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 11th with all four episodes dropping simultaneously.
