‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ Official Trailer: The Legend Of Pavi

Tomorrow marks four weeks until Avatar: Seven Havens, the latest entry in the Avatarverse begins streaming on Paramount+ and to mark the occasion, Paramount has just released the official trailer for the series which you can view below:

The trailer, which lasts for 2 minutes and 24 seconds, opens with Jae (Major Curia) patrolling the walls of Ellora (the central city) on his hoverboard followed by a mural depicting what appears to be Avatar Korra. Jae says, “My whole life I was taught to hate the Avatar. Then everything got turned upside down.” The next scene shows Jae meeting Pavi (Saheli Khan) for what appears to be the first time, we learn that Jae seems to be talking to his superior who asks Jae what he saw. We then see Jae covered in rubble as the ceiling collapses, Pavi who we assume only showed Jae her earthbending then deflects a boulder with airbending to Jae’s surprise. 

We see a wide shot of Ellora, and we zoom in on Jae traveling the streets of the city, his superior mentions that word of the avatar’s return has begun spreading and urges that Jae keep quiet. During a sandstorm, we see a group traveling on Sky Bisons, a second group on motorcycle-like vehicles approaches them. The next shot shows Pavi’s sister, Nisha (Aishu Devan) training, the two and their cat-monkeys meet for the first time and realise they’re twins. During this encounter, the two see a vision where Nisha is taken away from Pavi at a young age, the realisation that Pavi has a twin sister shocks her and she tries to leave immediately. We then meet the leader of Ellora who threatens that whoever is hiding the new avatar will be punished, in the next scene Pavi witnesses a sandstorm outside Ellora, and she says, “I can’t be an Avatar, I’m no warrior.” Pavi tries using airbending and she finishes, “And the last one doomed the world.” We then see a flashback of an older Korra in the avatar state causing destruction in a city, Pavi referring to Korra as the last one implies that she could have been alive for a long time as we’ve just learnt there’s a 225 year gap between the two series.

The next shot shows Jae shocked, likely after realising he just became friends with humanity’s destroyer and that’s followed by the mysterious Vaatu-like entity being summoned. We see parts of Ellora being struck by lightning, someone tells Jae that something is happening in the city and Pavi watches as red lighting emerges from the ground. We then see this entity in the city attacking some of the citizens, someone points out that the spirit world has unleashed its wrath. At night, Pavi and Nisha are seen leaping from buildings with their cat monkeys and the leader of Ellora declares to Jae that she will find the Avatar. In that scene we see a number of injured people. 

Pavi and Nisha ready themselves to face off against this entity and in the next scene we see Pavi, Nisha and Jae fighting a masked person. Pavi is seen in a cosmic realm and she approaches someone, it’s unclear whether that’s Korra, herself in the avatar state or someone else entirely. The next shot shows Nisha looking out into the desert, Jae escaping rubble and finally Pavi and Nisha meet someone who could be the leader of the masked group of individuals. Nisha’s identity appears to be exposed and she’s seen being protected by Jae’s general who urges her to escape, we then see her leaving the city at night. 

A few action shots follow including someone who appears to be in an infirmary attacking someone with firebending, Pavi is seen using firebending while escaping someone, Nisha tells her cat-monkey to attack someone, Pavi saves Jae from being attacked by a masked foe, Jae cheering while his colleagues look at him, Pavi and Nisha doing a sort of victory dance involving chest bumping and wiggling their fingers. The two look at a sandstorm and the twins alongside Jae ready to face off against the entity. Before the logo, we see a shot of Pavi and Nisha on a mountain looking towards a tornado in the distance. The trailer ends with a funny interaction involving Jae finding out that his general appears to be part of The White Lotus after describing them as a creepy, underground cult.

Following the debut of the trailer, we’ve learnt the first season will be split into four parts which will release throughout the month of October, that means 3 episodes every Friday, with a 4-episode drop in the final week. Season Two or “Book II” will be released at a later date, likely in 2027.

What Is Avatar: Seven Havens About?

Avatar: Seven Havens is set after the events of The Legend of Korra, and follows Pavi who learns that she’s the next Avatar. However, in the present, the Avatar is viewed as humanity’s destruction despite Pavi being the only one who can save the world. Read the official synopsis below:

“Avatar: Seven Havens is an all-new series from creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, a young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra. In this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”

Avatar: Seven Havens created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The series stars Saheli Khan as Avatar Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Major Curda as Jae as Jae and more. TThe first three episodes begin streaming on Paramount+ on October 9th, 2026.
