‘Fortnite’ Peels Sidekick Missions And Rewards
Here’s what you need to know about the new Sidekick Peels and the items you can earn by adventuring with them.
Sidekicks are the latest cosmetic type available in Fortnite; they debuted in Chapter 6, Mini Season 2 which just so happens to be Simpsons–themed and is named Peels who is the first sidekick. Sidekicks are pets that can join you in a variety of game modes including Battle Royale, Blitz Royale, Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, Save The World (Sidekicks are not compatible with Rocket Racing). Sidekicks interact with the world around you, they don’t take damage and only those in your party can see them.
Sidekicks also feature customization options. You have a one-time opportunity to change the physical traits of your pet once these options are chosen they cannot be changed unless you buy an additional pet. With regards to the debut Sidekick, Peels who appears in the Battle Pass, you can get two of them, one when you unlock the battle pass for the first time and another in the “Bonus Rewards” section (you’ll need to be approximately level 60 to claim this one). Should you require more, you’ll have to wait 18 Months for Peels to arrive in the Item Shop which as stated before is the time it takes for battle pass items (as of Chapter 5, Season 4) to make its way to the item shop.
Sidekicks can also wear a number of accessories and even perform emotes. These can be unlocked by earning a certain amount of Sidekick Points, a new currency that is obtained by playing various Fortnite experiences with your companion. Today we’ll cover all the rewards you can obtain with Peels which you can view below:

This is just the start of Sidekick Missions in Fortnite. During the Item Shop reset on November 7th, we can expect at least five more Sidekicks (Lil Raptor, Spike, Flopsticks, Cuddle Team Jr and Bonesy) each coming with their own sets on missions, each of these will cost between 1200 – 1500 V-Bucks.
Fortnite is developed by Epic Games and is available for free on all gaming platforms. Peels is available now in the Fortnite Chapter 6, Mini Season 2 Battle Pass with additional Sidekicks launching on November 7th.
