'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Gets Two Posters & CinemaCon Exclusive Footage

The next Spider-Man film, Brand New Day, was the obvious highlight of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s presentation at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans have been anticipating this panel, as the trailer for the film brought the hype to an all-time high. Sony Pictures released two posters online, one of which depicts Spidey fighting The Hand in front of the New York City backdrop, as well as one that uses reflective lenses, something clearly inspired by the Sam Raimi trilogy. You can view the two posters below:

Footage was shown exclusively to exhibitors and press at CinemaCon in conjunction with these posters. DiscussingFilm, who attended the event, described the footage as follows:

“While he wasn’t present in person, a Tom Holland hologram introduced an extended scene from the much-anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The sequence sees Holland’s Peter Parker at a bodega when he spots his old friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), who no longer remembers him. Peter follows him to an apartment party, where he realises Ned has created a “Spider-Tracker” app to figure out who Spider-Man is. When MJ (Zendaya) walks in, Peter stumbles and reintroduces himself as “Maynard”. As the three walk into the kitchen, MJ’s boyfriend (Eman Esfandi) kisses her as a heartbroken Peter looks on.

The scene is followed by an extended sizzle reel that showcases the movie’s dynamic, slow-motion-heavy action, including a brief glimpse at Peter’s eyes turning black, indicating the rumored transformation into Man-Spider. Fans who want a lonelier, more angsty Spider-Man seem to be in for a treat here, with Tame Impala’s “Loser” really selling the mood of the piece. The movie looks to be having its cake and eating it too, with expansive, larger-than-life action married with intimate character work.”

As you can see, Tame Impala’s song “Loser” was used for the trailer, highlighting Peter’s point in life following the spell that took place in Spider-Man: No Way Home. As for Ned’s app, the character says he has narrowed the identity of Spider-Man down to two people, Mr Harrington (Martin Starr) and Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), some fans have pointed out that Ned witnessed Spider-Man, Harrington, and Flash in the same room at the top of the Washington Monument, meaning that it is impossible for them to be Spider-Man. No official word yet on if Harrington or Thompson will play a role in the film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Eman Esfandi, Michael Mando, and many more. The film arrives in theatres on July 31, 2026.
