‘Minecraft Dungeons II’ Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition Rewards Revealed

Following the animated trailer & release date reveal for Minecraft Dungeons II, new details have been revealed about some additional rewards that players can earn by pre-ordering the game and purchasing the deluxe edition. In today’s article we’ll take a look at the rewards and how much it’ll cost to unlock each.

What Are The Minecraft Dungeons II Pre-Order Rewards?

Starting with the pre-order bonuses, players can unlock two hero skins, the “Twisted” Cape and the “Twisted Chicken” Pet. From the image above, you can see that the hero skins are actually Adventure variants of our Minecraft protagonists, Steve and Alex. Meanwhile the “Twisted” Cape and “Twisted Chicken” Pet appear to be inspired by the Deep Dark biome, a central focus of Minecraft Dungeons II’s story. 

To unlock these rewards players must pre-purchase the game before its launch on September 29th, 2026 both the Standard Edition ($29.99 USD) and Deluxe Edition ($49.99) are applicable for this reward.

What Are The Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition Rewards?

Next up are the Deluxe Edition Rewards where you’ll receive four hero skins, the “Ghost” Cape, “Blub” Pet and the first two DLC Expansions when they launch (There are no confirmed DLC beyond the first two at this time but should that happen, they will likely be made available in a Season Pass at a later date). From the image above we can see that the rewards are heavily inspired by the recent animated trailer. The hero skins are those of the group we meet in the trailer and the “Ghost” Cape references these new wisp-like creatures that appear to power up enemies. The “Blub” Pet also appears to be another ghost-like creature which will appear in the game.

The items above can be unlocked by purchasing the Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition ($49.99) there’s no time limit to unlocking these rewards so players can still obtain these items post launch. However, if you purchase the Deluxe Edition (or Standard Edition) before September 29th, 2026 you’ll unlock the pre-order rewards which we discussed earlier.

What Is Minecraft Dungeons II About?

Minecraft Dungeons II, a sequel to 2020’s Minecraft Dungeons will explore the mysteries of the Deep Dark as it seemingly spreads to the surface. Read the official synopsis below:

“Drop the pickaxe, grab a sword, and charge into a thrilling new adventure in Minecraft Dungeons II. Journey through unexplored lands and mysterious locations, in a quest to stop a new evil from causing chaos in not one, but two worlds! Clash with menacing foes in explosive encounters and fight your way through hordes of mobs that will do everything in their power to stop you!”

Minecraft Dungeons II was first announced at the March 2026 Minecraft Live Showcase, where we received a teaser trailer showing that the overworld was saved… until it wasn’t. We eventually end up in the Deep Dark where a mysterious portal is shown with music being the key to activating it. During the Minecraft Live Bonus Showcase from Twitchcon, Creative Director Måns and Senior Producer Marie teased a little bit about the new biomes in the sequel and showed off concept art for the Twisted Warden which we just saw in the latest trailer.

Minecraft Dungeons II is developed by Mojang. The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 and PC (via Steam) on September 29th, 2026. Pre-Orders are available now at $29.99 USD for the Standard Edition and $49.99 USD for the Deluxe Edition.
