Marvel Studios Announces The ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast
Following the release of a cryptic livestream on Marvel Entertainment’s social media platforms, the cast for Avengers: Doomsday has been revealed.
The change from Avengers: Kang Dynasty to Avengers: Doomsday was first announced at 2024’s San Diego Comic Con. It was there that Kevin Feige announced that the Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo would direct this film and Avengers: Secret Wars with Stephen McFeely set to write the scripts. We also learnt of Robert Downey Jr’s casting as Doctor Doom at this event. The announcement was done in style as countless Doombots emerged on stage with a masked RDJ front and center. He proudly said, “New Mask, Same Task” as the audience cheered.
Today, around 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Marvel began a mysterious livestream titled “ANNOUNCEMENT” (later titled “Avengers: Doomsday | Cast Announce”) on their social media platforms which opened in a dark room with someone placing a chair in front of a camera.
What Happened In The Marvel Announcement Live Stream?
The video consisted of various chairs, which included the names of each cast member. Each member was introduced in a grand way as a score relating to their respective character played as the camera moved towards their chair, starting with Chris Hemsworth. The stream lasted for 5 hours and 27 minutes, cycling through various MCU and Foxverse actors. At the end of the video, we see a door open from which Robert Downey Jr. appears and sits on the final chair with his name on it. The video ends by stating that Avengers: Doomsday is now in production.
Who’s In The Avengers: Doomsday Cast?
The “Avengers: Doomsday | Cast Announce” stream revealed a total of 27 cast members. Though it’s not yet confirmed what characters these actors are playing, it’s likely they will reprise their famous roles.
