‘Fortnite’ X ‘The Odyssey’ Collab Announced + Odyssey Cup
Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming The Odyssey collab and how to participate in the tournament.
Ahead of this week’s content update which is set to host a DC Summer Event titled “Hot Bat Summer”, the official Fortnite social pages have just announced that a collaboration with The Odyssey (directed by Christopher Nolan) will be released later this week.
Set after the Trojan War, The Odyssey follows the Greek King of Ithaca, Odysseus’ journey to reunite with his wife, Penelope. Along the way he’ll encounter a number of mythical creatures including the Cyclops Polyphemus, Sirens, and the nymph Calypso. Read the official synopsis below:
Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odyssey, is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX® film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX® film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.
The collaboration will include an Odysseus (played by Matt Damon) bundle which contains an outfit, back bling and pickaxe. A loading screen and spray will be made available to those who earn 40 points in the upcoming tournament. The collaboration will be available after the item shop resets on Thursday, July 16th at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. We’ll also know if any other characters from the film will make their way into Fortnite at that time.
Fortnite X The Odyssey Cup Time & Rewards
The Odyssey Cup will be held on July 15th, 2026 (Head to the Compete tab in-game to know when the event will begin for your region) and players can participate on every platform. The tournament is split into Battle Royale, Zero Build and Mobile, you can view the rules below:
Battle Royale & Zero Build (Solos) – The Event Session will last for 3 hours (180 minutes) and players can participate in up to 11 matches.
Mobile (Solos) – The Event Session will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes) and players can participate in up to 8 matches. For mobile, the event will use Reload matches.
By competing in The Odyssey Cup, you have a chance at earning the Odysseus Bundle (which includes an outfit, back bling and pickaxe), a Spray and a Loading Screen. See very reward below:
