Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ Trailer To Be Released Later Today As First Online Footage
Christopher Nolan’s trailer is officially on it’s way to online audiences, following a string of theatrical exclusive content.
Reports from industry insiders state that audiences can expect an online trailer for The Odyssey this week. This comes after months of waiting for online footage for the movie, after the Jurassic: World Rebirth teaser, the IMAX prologue, and the latest Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer were all theatrical exclusives.
People have started receiving the trailer internally, with several twitter users having access to the trailer, posting stills exclusively to their accounts.
It’s possible this new trailer is the same trailer as the trailer that was attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, as this is a similar strategy to Christopher Nolan’s last film’s, Oppenheimer, marketing campaign, releasing an exclusive trailer with Barbie and then later dropping it online.

That current theatrical trailer showcases further looks at the Cyclops, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, and much more. It will be cool to get these images in high resolution, as cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema is more than an artist in his own right, shooting every Nolan film from Interstellar onwards, as well as Ad Astra and Nope.
The Odyssey releases in a little over seven months in theatres, so it is more than time for this upcoming film to ramp up its marketing.

The Odyssey stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Himesh Patel, Mia Goth, Robert Pattinson, Lupita N’yongo, Zendaya, Elliot Page and John Leguizamo.
The Odyssey hits theatres on July 17th, 2026.
