Mike Myers Says We’ll See ‘Austin Powers 4’

Mike Myers fever is back… baby. Following the viral release of the Shrek 5 trailer, Mike Myers has commented on the development of a fourth Austin Powers installment whilst attending a FIFA World Cup watch party with Trevor Noah.

During the livestream, a viewer asked the question whether audiences will get a fourth Austin Powers and Mike Myers immediately answered “Yes,” as if there was no doubt. He did not provide further elaboration.

Earlier this week, Myers reprised one of those iconic Austin Powers roles in an advertisement for Verizon, reprising his role as Dr. Evil, the antithesis to the titular character, both of which were transported from the 60s into the present day.

With the rise of legacy sequels to comedies such as Happy Gilmore 2, Grown Ups 3, Zoolander 2, Dumb & Dumber Two, and more, it is only a matter of time before Austin Powers returns for a fourth outing, following the franchises near $700M gross at the worldwide box office.

Myers will next appear in Shrek 5, returning to the role he originated back in 2001, which is set to make a bang next Summer in theatres.
