Tom Cruise continues his epic career with Digger, which just showcased new looks in screenings of Top Gun. Read our Digger teaser Top Gun article.
As part of Paramount’s rerelease of Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick this past weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Tony Scott film, Warner Bros. Pictures capitalized on the hype and released a theatrical exclusive teaser for Digger.
Not only was this a teaser for the upcoming awards hopeful but it also served as a career retrospective for the legendary actor. It showed snippets of his past films, focusing on his now extensive career before slowly transitioning into a Digger teaser, complete with the backing track of “Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits.
The teaser actually leaked online, prior to the screenings, leading to several Tom Cruise update accounts being suspended in the process.

Digger is the latest film from Alejandro González Iñárritu, who has joined forces with Cruise to tell a catastrophe of epic proportions. The film reportedly follows the world’s most powerful man as he attempts to fix a disaster of his own making. The teaser showed drone bombers flying, Digger Rockwell (Cruise) walking into an ampitheatre, and a few other shots in its brief runtime.

Digger stars Cruise, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, and Michael Stuhlbarg. The film is due out in theatres in October of this year.
