Venom: The Last Dance is the third and possibly final installment in the Venom franchise. The story takes place right after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, with Eddie Brock going back to his own universe after crossing the multiverse to the MCU’s 616 universe and leaving a piece of the symbiote behind.

From what we’ve seen in the trailer, Eddie Brock and Venom are on the run from government forces after they returned back to their universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the latest entry, Eddie and Venom are up against Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character, Stephen Graham’s Toxin, and Juno Temple’s Dr. Payne whilst also having to deal with the invasion of symbiotes from Venom’s home planet on Earth.

In the comics, Venom comes from the planet Klyntar, which is also where Knull is imprisoned, considered to be one of Marvel’s biggest villains and the god of symbiotes. So, it’s very possible that we could be seeing his introduction on the big screen in this film.

The film also stars Rhys Ifans, who is known for playing Dr. Connors/The Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s unknown whether Rhys Ifans is playing Dr. Connors or a different role in the film. Similarly, Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing a new character even though he stars as Mordo in the Doctor Strange films. This, at least, makes sense because of the different universes.

‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Runtime Revealed

We don’t know how Venom: The Last Dance will tie into the other films set in the SSU. However, we definitely know that this film will be more action-packed, exciting, and larger than every other SSU film so far, which makes sense for it to be the longest film. From our source, we can reveal that the movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 15-20 minutes currently. However, this runtime is subject to change.

We have previously reported an exclusive about the then in progress runtime for Deadpool & Wolverine, which releases in theaters less than one month from now. It seems like it’s not the only Marvel-associated film this year that’s going to be longer than its predecessors!
