‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ Shows Off New Sizzle Reel At D23

The next Insomniac game, ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ was shown off to attendees at this weekend’s D23 Expo.

Over the past few weeks Marvel has been going all out on promoting the rest of their 2026 lineup and a look at the future. Between San Diego Comic Con and the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 which aired last Friday we’ve seen new looks at the VisionQuest, Avengers: Doomsday alongside the reveals of three films coming in 2028: Ghost Rider, Black Panther III and X-Men.

Despite all this news on the television and film divisions, Marvel hasn’t forgotten their gaming division which sees a new addition next month in the form of Marvel’s Wolverine. SDCC saw the team do a behind the scenes look at the game with some exciting reveals and now during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 a sizzle reel for Marvel’s Wolverine was shown and later released online. You can view the sizzle reel below:

The 42-second sizzle reel opens with Logan breaking into the prison cell which we know is holding Nathaniel Essex, Bolivar Trask is narrating and begins with, “Let me introduce mutantkind’s extinction” which is likely referring to a Sentinel. Next up is Logan and Jean Grey ready to face off against a group of Reavers that are trying to capture some mutants. Wolverine is surrounded in the forest where he says, “Not the day, Bub.” We continue with glimpses of Omega Red, Lady Deathstryke, Sabretooth and a fight against Omega Red. Wolverine walks into the Princess Bar and we then see Mystique facing off with some Reavers, a voice says, “You have to stop this.”

Bolivar Trask is shown followed by a Sentinel Prototype who has no arms at the moment, Wolverine faces off against Lady Deathstryke who wields a purple glowing katana followed by another snippet of the fight against Omega Red. More action shots follow, including Wolverine rushing towards a forcefield, screaming in a burning forest, riding a motorcycle, a glimpse of Jean Grey using her powers, Logan cutting off one of Omega Red’s tentacles and chasing the Trask Truck carrying mutants. Logan says, “I need you with me” and we see Jean Grey holding his hand. The final moments of the sizzle reel shows the fight with Omega Red, the sentinel prototype, Wolverine escaping an explosion, an angry Jean Grey, Jean Grey controlling the mind of everyone nearby and an extra look at the fight against Lady Deathstryke.

Also announced a day prior to the D23 Panel, Kelly Hu who played Lady Deathstryke in the 20th Century Fox X2: X-Men United will voice Tyger Tiger in the game. Tiger will serve as the proprietor of the Princess Bar which acts as a sort of hub world.

Meanwhile, Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) will voice Nathaniel Essex who some may know eventually becomes the villain Mister Sinister. In this game, Nathaniel recruits Wolverine, Mystique and Sabretooth to Team X, a team dedicated to protecting mutants.
