‘Fortnite’ Reveals Chapter 7: Season 4 Battle Pass Skins

Following yesterday’s debut of the Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4 Override Official Trailer, Epic Games has just released a new promo in collaboration with Studio 64 Bits to introduce players to the characters they’ll be able to unlock in next season’s battle pass, you can view the promo below:

The Battle Pass Highlights video which lasts for 1 hour and 47 seconds opens with a Fortnite title screen done entirely in a pixel-art style. After the player selects “start” we move to a character selection screen featuring the likes of Jonesy, Peely, Cuddle Team Leader, Raven and eight silhouettes which represent the battle pass characters. The player chooses Jonesy and while he drops out of the bus, the game glitches rifting him to a top-down rpg setting where we meet the first character, the two are then sent to a 2D shooter where he meets another character. This trend continues a few more times where Jonesy is transported with a new character to settings such as a kart racer, the world of Sonic The Hedgehog, a platformer / builder, a 2D fighter (with a Mortal Kombat reference) and finally a top-down battle royale where Jonesy and his new friends are ready to face off against Geno.

A cutscene plays where Geno is seen readying some sort of red magic. The screen fades to white and we see the Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4 Override Logo done in the pixel-art style. The trailer ends by revealing the names of the battle pass characters (in order of their appearance in the trailer) which include: Bastian, Grace Crowne, K1ttyW1ns, Wrixel, Mali, Phantom, Geno and finally Sonic The Hedgehog (accompanied by Tails which could point to a Tails sidekick being available in the pass) followed by the Studio 64 Bits logo.

Who’s In The Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4 Battle Pass?

As per usual, the Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4 Battle Pass will feature eight skins which can be unlocked by reaching at least Season Level 100 (as long as you own the paid version of the pass). The Override battle pass will feature six Fortnite original gaming characters such as Bastian, Grace Crowne, K1ttyW1ns, Wrixel, Mali and Phantom, one Fortnite story character in the form of Geno and one Gaming Collab character, Sonic The Hedgehog. It’s like that either Geno or Sonic The Hedgehog will be the final character in the pass meaning you’ll need to reach a minimum of level 85 to unlock the set.

The Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4 Override Battle Pass can be purchased individually for 800 V-Bucks (approximately $8.99 USD) or players can subscribe to Fortnite Crew (approximately $11.99 USD/month) and unlock the latest Battle Pass, OG Pass, Music Pass and LEGO Pass as long as their subscription is active.
