It’s been a couple months now since fans got a(n official) taste of the latest Spider-Man film coming to theaters. Now, after a few hiccups the past week or so, the new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived. You can view it below:
What Happens In The New Trailer For Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
The trailer opens with Spider-Man aka Peter Parker (Tom Holland) being flung through the air into a sign by The Scorpion, Mac Gargan (Michael Mando), who was last seen in the post credits sequence of Spider-Man: Homecoming back in 2017. Scorpion pins Spidey against a wall, about to sting him with his tail when Peter violently retaliates, realizing something isn’t right with him.
We then see Peter alone in his room with his face mildly cut from a previous fight as he watches Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ’s (Zendaya) final MIT vlog. Peter, dressed in his Spider-Man suit, equips his webshooter and attempts to give them a test run. Shockingly, instead of the webshooters working, his own body now has the ability to spin webs. This event leads Peter to seek out the help of someone else who has his own genetic mutation, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).

The next sequence is narrated by Tramell Tillman as William Metzger, an Anti-Mutant Militia leader from the comics. Metzger informs Peter that they need his help from an unseeable threat that only Peter is immune to: A body hopper with the ability to carry out psionic attacks. This mysterious villain is seen dressed in green and yellow, and seemingly freezes the entire city.
Ned is shown to be some type of Spider-Man investigator, with a board on display in his apartment with various Spider-suspects. MJ reintroduces herself to Peter which causes him to choke on his drink. He sadly watches as MJ shares a tender moment with her new boyfriend (Eman Esfandi).
The body swapping villain possesses the minds of some random passerbys and threatens Peter that they’ll go “see how MJ is doing.” This last leg of the trailer starts when we see Peter holding Bruce’s Hulk inhibitor device as we see him beginning to Hulk out. Hulk then thunderclaps Spider-Man down a long hallway. Spider-Man breaks into MJ’s house to warn her that she is in danger and needs her to come with him, which she seemingly agrees to very quickly.

We get brief narration from Marissa Tomei’s Aunt May (who was killed in the last movie) where she gives a similar speech to her great power one from No Way Home. MJ gets introduced to The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) at his new hideout where she will seemingly be kept safe.
We get a glimpse at a very cool action scene where Spider-Man does a web-tornado against a group of The Hand ninjas. Right before the title card we get a shot of Spider-Man and The Hulk free falling from a building during their battle. The final sequence has Spidey joking around with members of Damage Control and stretching right before they engage in a fight.
