New ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Add-On Introduces New Piglins

Following the announcement of a second trailer for A Minecraft Movie set for release on February 27th. The official Twitter / X page has showcased an add-on for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition which includes new weapons and variations of Piglins inspired by the upcoming film, starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks and Emma Myers.

This is the second add-on we’ve received following the “Lava Chicken add-on” in December which featured a new healing item, the Lava Chicken which came with a fiery twist where players would leave behind a trail of fire for a set duration when consumed.

Per the article, fans can expect weapons such as the Potato launcher and buck-chuckets when facing off against the Piglin General, Great Hog and more. Read the full description below: 

Wish you could fight like the heroes of A Minecraft Movie? Get the free “A Minecraft Movie add-on,* which includes an entire arsenal of weapons from the film, including the buck-chuckets and Orb of Dominance. Use the battle axe to defend your base against creepers at nightfall or venture all the way to the End and fight the Ender Dragon with a potato launcher. 

If you’re seeking a fiery challenge, the add-on also comes with all the piglins the Nether can throw at you. But beware – this crew won’t care whether you’re wearing gold! They will always choose violence. Fight a slew of fearsome piglins like the Piglin General, the Great Hog, and many more, all inspired by the movie.

The “A Minecraft Movie: Add-On” is now available for free on the Minecraft Marketplace (Minecraft: Bedrock Edition only). A Minecraft Movie comes to theatres this April, on behalf of Warner Bros. Pictures and Mojang Studios.
