Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service that offers excellent value for Fortnite enthusiasts by bundling exclusive perks and rewards. For $11.99 USD per month, members receive 1,000 V-Bucks, access to the current season’s Battle Pass, and an exclusive cosmetic bundle featuring skins and items not available in the Item Shop.

The subscription essentially pays for itself with just the Battle Pass and V-Bucks, making it a cost-effective choice for regular players. Subscribers also occasionally enjoy additional perks, with one being the monthly unlocking of different styles for the Crew skins that they have unlocked, which includes, but is not limited to, galaxy, green, and silver styles. This is ideal for active players who want unique items and maximum rewards for as low  a price as possible and without having to spend hours grinding on the game. Fortnite Crew is a great way to enhance the in-game eXPerience.

Starting from December 1st, Fortnite Crew is evolving and will now give you access to all of the battle passes, including the regular season pass, music pass, lego pass, and now the brand new Fortnite OG pass, which not much is known about yet.

No More Battle Stars In Battle Passes

In late October, Fortnite announced that all battle passes would progress concurrently and that battle stars would be scrapped from the game, meaning that every pass would require XP and leveling up to gain rewards and reach the end of the pass. This has already taken effect with the new music pass featuring Snoop Dogg, which only requires XP to earn rewards, meaning that you can gain music items without even having to play Fortnite Festival. Whilst everyone is familiar with these two passes, the brand new Fortnite OG pass is shrouded in mystery and full of speculation.

After the massive success of the return of a Fortnite OG game mode last year, Epic Games announced that it would be returning in December and become a permanent addition to the Fortnite roster. It seems that, alongside this, there will also be an OG battle pass that coincides with this game mode.

The only catch here is that due to user agreements and promises from Fortnite in the past, they are not allowed to bring back old skins or battle passes, a change they made this year with the recent Marvel battle pass. Due to this, many speculate that the Fortnite OG pass will include remixed versions of old skins, so that it can be shorter and still fit in as many memorable skins as possible without offending people who want to hold onto their ‘collectors/rare’ items.

Fortnite Crew Pricing

Perhaps the best part of this upgrade is the fact that it comes at no extra cost. The Fortnite Crew will still cost $11.99/£10 and now include FIVE different battle passes for you to complete that gain XP concurrently and thus, the crew pack comes with a tremendous  amount of value that contains  rewards from various passes and extra v-bucks for you to spend. There is an increase though, as the Battle Royale Battle Pass will raise in price from 950 v bucks to 1000, but that is a small jump for what is news of some huge offers. There is also a shift in if you can claim items from the battle pass:

For new subscribers beginning December 1, 2024, at 5 AM GMT/UTC, premium rewards on the Battle Pass will only be available to claim if your Fortnite Crew subscription is active. This means if you cancel Crew, you’ll be able to claim premium rewards from the Battle Pass until the end of your current billing period and not for the remaining duration of the pass.

For players who are currently subscribed to Fortnite Crew or subscribe before December 1, 2024, there will be no change to how you claim premium rewards on the Battle Pass. If you cancel after December 1, 2024, and resubscribe after your subscription has lapsed, you’ll be considered a new subscriber, and claiming premium rewards on the Battle Pass will require an active Fortnite Crew subscription.

An active Fortnite Crew subscription is required to unlock and claim premium rewards on the Music Pass and LEGO Pass for both new and existing subscribers, as well as any other passes added in the future.

If you purchase the Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, or Music Pass separate from Fortnite Crew, you’ll still be able to unlock and claim premium rewards on those passes individually as you normally would.

This means that if you unsubscribe from Fortnite Crew during a season, you will no longer be able to claim premium rewards that you have not yet unlocked until you either buy the pass with v bucks or subscribe to the crew pack, but you will be able to keep the premium rewards that you have already claimed.
