‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Skins Coming To ‘Fortnite’

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theatres this Friday and Epic Games is celebrating in a fantastic way by introducing outfits based on the first family as skins in Fortnite. The Fantastic Four has been a long awaited addition to Fortnite that begins all the way back in Chapter 2, Season 4 when Galactus made his way to the island. Despite the team’s most famous villain Doctor Doom being available in the Battle Pass, the team members were nowhere to be found. Fast forward to Chapter 5, Season 4, Doctor Doom would yet again be in the Battle Pass and hopes were high when not only was the team’s iconic “4” logo found on the map, but trophies of each member were found in Doom’s castle. Unfortunately, history would repeat itself and the team was not added to Fortnite. 

That brings us to today, finally, the team will be added to the Fortnite Item Shop this time inspired by their upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The film follows the team as they face their biggest (quite literally) threat yet, Galactus who had his eyes set on Earth. Galactus sends his herald, Shalla Baal / The Silver Surfer, to announce his arrival and it’s up to The Fantastic Four to stop them and save their home.

Fantastic Four Cup Explained

Before the team arrives on July 25th, players have the opportunity to earn the outfits early through the Fantastic Four Cup which runs from 1:00 PM PT / 4:00 PM ET to 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET on July 23rd. Players will have ten matches to score as many points as possible. The top 250 squads from each region will earn all the Fantastic Four: First Steps cosmetics free of charge.

Additionally, every player has the opportunity to earn the “It’s Clobberin’ Time!” Spray and “Flame On!” Emoticon by surviving for 60 and 120 minutes respectively.

Those unable to place top 250 in their region can stay tuned to the outfits arriving in the Item Shop on July 25th at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. Stay tuned to our article detailing each cosmetic and its pricing.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is directed by Matt Shakman and stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Benn Grimm, Julia Garner as Shalla Baal and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. The film hits theatres on July 25th.
