‘Avengers: Doomsday’ To Release FOUR Trailers With ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’
Avengers Doomsday will be releasing four trailers as part of the Avatar: Fire and Ash release.
Less than a week away now from the release of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, audiences are growing antsy about the release of the first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday. Now, a new report from an industry insider suggests that Marvel Studios, the company behind Doomsday, is planning on releasing not one, not two, not three, but FOUR teaser trailers for the upcoming movie in conjunction with Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The new information comes from Daniel Richtman, more well known by his online moniker DanielRPK, who alleges that Marvel Studios wants to release all four of these teasers alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash, changing them with each week of release. This has since been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
The rollout is reportedly aimed at getting Marvel diehards to go out of their way to see Avatar: Fire and Ash multiple times, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter. This news comes after multiple trailer runtimes were discovered across various international rating boards.
It is unknown if all four of these trailers will be eventually posted online or if some of these will remain theatrical exclusives. Other insiders have hinted that fans shouldn’t be expecting an online trailer until well after Avatar: Fire and Ash‘s first week, making this long wait even longer.
As to what these trailers may entail is anybody’s guess but I theorize that each one of these trailers may focus on the sub-Avengers groups that these films divide into. For example, a trailer featuring the Fantastic Four and their plot, a trailer featuring The New Avengers (fka the Thunderbolts), a trailer featuring Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) Avengers, and perhaps a trailer for the X-Men (and Teyonnah Paris’s Monica Rambeau). Alternatively, there are several Wakandan (and Wakanda adjacent) characters that star in the film that could get their own trailer.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by the Russo Brothers and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach star as the Fantastic Four. Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman star as The New Avengers.
Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, and Danny Ramirez star as The Avengers. Letitia Wright, Tenoch Huerta, and Winston Duke reprise their Black Panther: Wakanda Forever roles. As for the X-Men, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn star.
