In the last episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the journey comes closer to an end. Jod (Jude Law) and his crew as well as Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and her crew have finally located At Attin. Breaching the barrier with ease after learning the truth of the Onyx Cinder.

While arguably the episode is again on the shorter side, I loved every moment of it. Despite the obvious foreshadowing for some key decisions in the episode, I still found the stakes were presented in a way that kept me invested and rooting for our heroes to succeed. While the finale wraps up the story nicely, I’m left with a few questions coming down to the end of the episode.

One part that I especially loved is having the parents of our protagonists more directly involved during this episode and exploring their more adventurous sides which was briefly touched upon in the fifth episode “You Have A Lot To Learn About Pirates”. Teaming up with their kids to save their home put a huge smile on my face and completely changed my opinion of them.

The return to At Attin also meant a return to more visually stunning environments. I was in awe of the planet’s nature and infrastructure in the first episode and it shines even brighter in the night-time setting. There are also some really amazing shots leading up to the end of the episode that really speak to the quality of the ships.

Final Thoughts On Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew quickly became one of my favorite projects created from the Star Wars Disney+ era. The series managed to keep me engaged every week whether it’s thinking about a funny moment or theory crafting. I highly recommend this series to anyone trying to get into the Star Wars franchise. The series felt very standalone and there’s not a lot of technical jargon from the other projects to confuse viewers.
