‘Now You See Me 3’ Gets Its Long-Awaited Title, Fourth Instalment Greenlit

The third installment in the Now You See Me franchise gets an official fan-nominated title—and a sequel.

During Lionsgate’s panel showcase at CinemaCon on April 1st, the official title for the franchise’s third entry, Now You See Me 3, was officially revealed to be Now You See Me, Now You Don’t. Many fans speculated this would actually be the title of the second film when it was announced back in 2016, but to their dismay it didn’t end up happening.

Now with this being the official title, it seems Lionsgate listened and delivered on fan requests—so much so that they went so far as to announce a fourth film in the franchise which does not yet have a release date nor a title. This seems like a rather premature and bold move, but based on positive audience responses to the first and second films, it may serve as a pay-off for those who are ready to see the Four Horsemen back in action.

Now You See Me, Now You Don’t is currently slated to be released on November 14, 2025, and if everything remains on track, we can expect the fourth film to follow shortly afterwards. Both the third and fourth films will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, and though he is a newcomer to the franchise, he’s no stranger to action movies, having directed films in other franchises including Venom, Zombieland, and Uncharted.

Returning to the franchise with a sly flick-of-the-wrist will be Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco, all of whom are set to reprise their roles as the Four Horsemen, masters of magic and deception. Known for their meticulously planned heists with plenty of twists and turns, this core group brings a lot of thrill to the franchise that fans will surely be looking forward to see in action.

Joining the veteran cast will be newcomers Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Rosamund Pike, all of whom have been staying booked and busy leading up to their involvement in the franchise. Sessa made his breakthrough in 2023’s Christmas classic The Holdovers, which was nominated for Best Picture at the 96th Academy Awards. Collecting franchises like infinity stones, Greenblatt can now add yet another one to her gauntlet, having just recently starred in 2023’s summer blockbuster hit Barbie (also nominated for Best Picture), as well as projects in both the Marvel and Star Wars franchises. Smith on the other hand took a more indie route, playing the lead in Jane Schoenbrun’s psychological horror I Saw the TV Glow. Rounding off this star-studded cast is Rosamund Pike, who recently starred in Emerald Fennell’s dark erotic thriller Saltburn

The combined extensive resumés of new and old cast members will be a huge draw for new and old fans alike, as they get to see the original maestros mentor a new generation of magicians and spies.

Now You See Me, Now You Don’t is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Rosamund Pike. The Lionsgate-distributed film will release in theaters on November 14, 2025.
