This week at CinemaCon, Lionsgate gave us some first details on the film.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson in the original quadrilogy) as he is forced to compete in the 50th Hunger Games. The film has been revealed to be currently in the casting stages, with production set to begin in July. Mainstay of the franchise, Francis Lawrence, is also set to direct the adaptation, having previously directed all but the first Hunger Games film.
