‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Runtime Revealed

According to a recent AMC Cinemas listing, the final runtime for Jurassic World: Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson has been revealed.

After only a 3-year gap since the last Jurassic World movie, we are fast approaching the summer release of Rebirth, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey in the lead roles. And now, we have the movie’s runtime.

According to the movie’s page on AMC Theatres, Jurassic World Rebirth has a final runtime of 2 hours and 14 minutes, making it the second longest film in the franchise behind Dominion, which was 2 hours and 27 minutes long.

This makes it long enough to allow for more character moments and development without dragging the story down with unnecessary bloat. It’s a runtime that hints not just at more room for dinosaur mayhem, but also at a richer emotional core that could elevate it above previous instalments.
With Rebirth, that extra breathing room means more opportunity to reestablish the stakes and explore the consequences of the chaos left in the wake of Dominion. Especially after the poor reception of that movie, they likely want to build up a ‘new’ world and craft something interesting from the start in order to bring people back to the franchise, though getting people to turn up for a big dinosaur movie is incredibly easy.

Rather than jumping straight into CGI-heavy set pieces, the film might take time to rebuild tension and let the characters settle into the new reality before unleashing the action, which, if done right, makes those jaw-dropping moments hit even harder.

This is heavily helped by the movie’s very strong cast, which includes the aforementioned leads alongside Mahershala Ali and Rupert Friend, all actors who have held themselves in both smaller, emotionally charged movies and mega blockbusters so they are great additions to this franchise.

Jurassic World Rebirth is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, and more. The film hits theatres on July 2nd, 2025.
