Future and Travis Scott have teamed up to release the “South Of France” remix of the original Future song.
Some of rap’s biggest names, Future and Travis Scott, have teamed up yet again to release a remixed version of Future’s “South Of France”. The original song was released with Future’s latest mixtape, Mixtape Pluto, and hasn’t had too much buzz. The original song was only 1:48 in length and was actually co-written by Travis Scott alongside some others.
The remixed version of the song, aptly titled “South Of France – Remix”, bears a whopping playtime of 3:03, and features new verses and vocals from Travis Scott. Back on September 6th, Scott actually teased the song despite not being featured on the album. Little did most audiences know, things would come full circle with the remix released nearly two months later.
Future currently has no announced projects in the works, but often collaborates with industry big guns, having just toured with Metro Boomin for their two-album duology We Dont Trust You, which sparked major controversy with a Kendrick Lamar feature on “Like That”, leading to pedophilia allegations being thrown at Drake.
Meanwhile, Travis Scott is currently finishing the final legs of his Circus Maximus Tour and is expected to be working on new music soon. I had the pleasure of attending the recent tour and called it “a sensual experience in almost every regard” and “genuinely one of the best things I have personally experienced as a hip-hop/rap fan.” Earlier this year, his mixtape Days Before Rodeo was re-released and broke into the Billboard Top 100 in the first place position.
“South Of France – Remix” is performed by Future and Travis Scott. It is now available on all major streaming platforms courtesy of Epic Records. Listen to it via Spotify below:
