One of Disney+’s biggest series, Percy Jackson And The Olympians has received a new promo following a new casting for season 2 of the show.
Earlier this week, Andra Day was cast as Athena, Annabeth’s mother, in the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Now, audiences have been further treated to more news with the release of a sizzle reel advertising the 2025 Disney+ slate. As part of this sizzle reel, a short six-second compilation featuring unseen footage from season two was released. Watch the clip below:
In the first clip, we can see Percy (Walker Scobell) wielding his sword Riptide on the beach, getting ready to duel Clarisse La Rue (Dior Goodjohn) on a beach whilst surrounded by people. Percy nor Clarisse are wearing Camp shirts, leading us to come to the natural conclusion that they are not at Camp Half Blood.
Percy states “All of this… this world… everything’s changed”, perhaps indicating the fallout from the events of the last season, where Percy, Grover and Annabeth uncovered a conspiracy to unseat Zeus (previously Lance Reddick) and the other Olympians. Next, we’re treated to a chariot race sequence. An armoured Percy then uses the riding crop to hasten his steed before the teaser cuts to black.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will adapt the second novel in the series, subtitled Sea of Monsters, which follows Percy and his friends travelling to the Sea of Monsters to save their camp.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri. Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+ and season 2 is expected in 2025.
