Heather Glenn was first introduced in Daredevil #126 (1975), written by Marv Wolfman. Heather was born in New York City into a life of luxury as her father, Maxwell Glenn, was the CEO of Glenn Industries. Heather first encounters Matt Murdock when she visits her then-boyfriend Franky’s apartment, where she meets the lawyer inside. Over time, the two grow closer, and Heather constantly flirts with Matt. When the two witness misinformation in news reports, Heather aids in the creation of Nelson & Murdock.

Heather’s father eventually gets into legal trouble when he’s accused of embezzlement, but it’s later revealed that Maxwell’s assistant, Mr. Stone, was responsible for the misdeeds. However, Maxwell was still eventually turned in for crimes he didn’t commit, which damaged Heather’s and Matt’s relationship. When Heather’s father is met with an untimely death caused by The Purple Man, Heather takes control of Glenn Industries, where she tries to repair the company’s reputation.
