‘Vought Rising’ Teaser Trailer Takes Audiences Back To The ’50s
Take a look at the origins of Supes in the first look at Vought Rising, a prequel series set in The Boys universe.
Following its exclusive premiere during 4DX Screenings of The Boys’ Series Finale, Prime Video has just dropped the teaser trailer for Vought Rising, a prequel series set in the 1950s that shows the origin of Supes. This is the fourth entry in the now dubbed “Vought Cinematic Universe” or VCU. You can view the trailer below:
The trailer which lasts for about 90 seconds, sees Soldier Boy wanting to become a hero, as well as a group of new heroes and a mysterious man who is experimented on with Compound V. The trailer ends with Aya Cash’s Clara, aka Stormfront, telling Soldier Boy that Supes have a future, they just have to take it.
What Is ‘Vought Rising’ About?
Vought Rising is a prequel series to the events of The Boys starring Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, real name Benjamin. The series set in the backdrop of the 1950s is a murder mystery that reveals the origins of Supes and Vought. Read the official synopsis below:
“One nation, under gods. Go back to where supes began in your first look at Vought Rising, coming 2027 to Prime.”
The series was announced at the 2024 San Diego Comic Con with Paul Grellong as the showrunner. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash were also said to reprise their roles as Benjamin / Soldier Boy and Klara Risinger / Stormfront respectively. March 2025 saw the casting of Elizabeth Posey (who plays Private Angel) and Will Hochman (who plays Torpedo). Rounding out the quartet was Mason Dye who joined the cast in August of that year, he plays Bombsight who was last seen in Season 5 of The Boys. Eric Kripke has also teased that Ethan Slater will reprise his Gen V role as Thomas Godolkin in the series.
Filming for Vought Rising Season 1 ran from August 17th, 2025 to March 11th, 2026. Following the cancellation of Gen V Season 3, it was revealed that Vought Rising is expected to run for a few seasons, it’s unclear if there will be timejumps between each one.
Vought Rising is created by Eric Kripke and stars Jensen Ackles as Ben / Soldier Boy, Mason Dye as Robbie / Bombsight, Will Hochman as Torpedo, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel and more. The series streams on Prime Video in 2027.
