Second ‘Clayface’ Test Screening Taking Place Tonight (Exclusive)
Clayface is the latest film from DC Studios, following the failure of Supergirl and the success of Superman. Read our article to learn more.
DC Studios’ next film, Clayface, is holding more test screenings following what seemed to be a very positive first screening, at least from online reports. Now the film is already going back for more, we can exclusively reveal that the second test screening is happening right now!
Clayface is the first Gotham set DC Universe film, following Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) as he takes an experimental serum following a disfigurement in an attempt to look normal again. This serum, extremely experimental and dangerous in nature, slowly disintegrates his body until he becomes the Batman villain Clayface. Read the full synopsis below:
“Clayface tells the terrifying descent into hell of a promising Hollywood actor who has become a monster driven by revenge. An intense story that explores the loss of identity and humanity, the ravages of toxic love and the dark side of scientific ambition.”

We can reveal that, surprisingly, a second round of test screenings will be taking place tonight at the Warner Bros. Lot in Burbank, California. The last screening resulted in positive reactions, with some emphasis placed on the film needing a perfected edit, whilst most reactions focused on praising gore. With about three months until release, Clayface is deep in the post-production process and is likely close to a finished product.
This second screening happening so close to the first one is the most interesting factor in this news. Due to the proximity, its likely that Warner Bros. are A/B testing, where two versions of the film are tested with selected audiences to analyse which is the better product and why, that is, unless the first cut has already been improved upon drastically or VFX has made major progress since then. That means, it is likely that two different versions of the film currently exist, as to one version that is built upon overtime. We’ll be careful to note that this is just a theory, though to stay tuned to see what happens with the film.
Last week we revealed that Aaron Paul, best known as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, had been cast in Clayface in a minor role, and whilst the internet is torn on whether he is a gang member or Matt Hagen’s (Tom Rhys Harries) father, the truth remains to be seen. Neither Paul or DC Studios have yet to confirm the casting.

Clayface stars Tom Rhys Harries, Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, and Aaron Paul. The film releases in theatres worldwide beginning October 23, 2026.
