Sabrina Carpenter Reportedly Set For Fortnite Festival Season

A year after shifting its identity towards being more of a hub, Fornite’s Festival game mode has been its most successful and with that comes bigger stars, with the latest rumour involving the biggest artist of 2024.

According to many popular Fortnite leakers, including HYPEX and ShiinaBR, Sabrina Carpenter is set to headline her own season of Fortnite Festival. This leak originates from the same leaker who has been correct many times in the past, correctly stating other Festival seasons and crossovers that would come to the game. They report that they first got word of Carpenter taking over back in August 2024, but only went public with it this week after getting further confirmation.

This is unsurprising, as Carpenter received massive success last year and became the most talked about artist, even receiving a multitude of her own emotes and jam tracks on Fortnite, including variations on her hit songs Espresso and Feather, with more likely to join the game in this new season. Considering her already-established relationship with Epic Games, it’s unsurprising that they would want to do something bigger with her and is likely the reason they were holding out on releasing an ICON Series outfit for her alongside in-game items relating to her.

Whilst this doesn’t guarantee that she will lead the next season of Fortnite Festival, it’s likely that we will see this happen this year, if not within the next two months. They want to strike whilst the iron is hot and capitalise on Sabrina being at the peak of her fame, with her monthly listeners growing by tens of millions in the last few months and lots of potential new or returning users to arrive back on the Fortnite island.

One of the biggest reasons Fortnite Festival has resonated with fans is its accessibility and social aspect. Players can jump in casually, playing instruments like guitar, bass, drums, or vocals, making it an easy pick-up-and-play experience. The mode’s integration with Fortnite’s existing cosmetic system, allowing players to perform as their favorite skins, adds another level of fun and customisation.

The mode also provides a refreshing contrast to Fortnite’s traditional Battle Royale gameplay. While the BR mode thrives on competition and strategic survival, Fortnite Festival is a more laid-back, creative experience. It offers a break from the high-stakes action while still keeping the game’s signature social and community-driven appeal. Players can enjoy music with friends, collaborate instead of compete, and still feel immersed in the Fortnite world in a completely different way.

Despite the shift in gameplay style, Fortnite Festival still captures the essence of Fortnite—it’s bold and constantly evolving. The game has always been about more than just shooting; it’s a platform for creativity, collaboration, pop culture crossovers and self-expression. Fortnite Festival reinforces that idea, proving that Fortnite isn’t just a game but a broader entertainment hub that continues to set trends in gaming. Its immediate success suggests it will be a long-term staple, giving players yet another reason to keep coming back to Fortnite’s ever-expanding universe and engage with the newer seasons of Festival as they arrive.
