One of 2024’s most explosive releases, The Substance, has finally received a second trailer.
The Substance, starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley, was released to critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival back in May 2024. The movie went on to win the award for Best Screenplay and was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or, which it ultimately lost to Sean Baker’s Anora.
The film shortly released its first teaser there afterwards on July 11th, showcasing a vibrant, snappy, and vivid glimpse into a world of fashion, beauty, and high standards. That trailer served only as what it promised, as a teaser for something to come. Now, one month later, we have a full-length trailer that gives far more insight into the film.
When Does ‘The Substance’ Release?
The Substance is currently dated for a theatrical release on September 20, 2024. It will be distributed by streaming service Mubi. The movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long and directed by Coralie Fargeat, who also wrote and produced the film.
