‘Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes VS. Villains’ Reveal Trailer: A Galactic Twist
Heroes and Villains from across the Star Wars Universe collide in this twist on the classic board game.
Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes VS. Villains is a twist on the classic board game featuring characters and locations from across the Star Wars franchise.
A Star Wars-themed Monopoly game was first announced on social media on March 17th, 2026 which included the title and the game’s first logo. A reveal trailer was also set to premiere a month after this announcement.
Fast forward to April 29th, we had the reveal trailer for this upcoming titled developed by Ubisoft, you can view the trailer below:
What Happens In The Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes VS. Villains Reveal Trailer?
The trailer which lasts for 55 seconds, opens with Darth Vader standing on a “hyperspace” tile on the board, using the force, he levitates the dice, and we transition to the game’s logo. We cut to Yoda on a “Senate Building” tile, and the narrator begins, “A battle for the Senate Building! This is going to be good..” Yoda faces off against Emperor Palpatine. He loses and the narrator continues, “The Emperor scores a victory for the villains!” Yoda walks away and says, “The greatest teacher, failure is.” The tile now sports an Empire design and the narrator says, “What a fitting upgrade!”
Boba Fett takes a mystery card which reads, “GO TO JAIL. DO NOT PASS GO.” Boba looks disappointed, and the narrator says, “His destiny is sealed… IN CARBONITE?” Han Solo laughs at Boba Fett and is then shocked to see him trapped in the Carbonite. Rey appears and she faces off against Kylo Ren. Rey says, “This could be how we win!” Three red dice are thrown, equaling to the 16. Kylo and Rey ready their lightsabers before three blue dice are thrown. The narrator says, “The die is cast!” We then see a closeup of the Hero Team which consists of Yoda, Rey and Han Solo, as well as the Villain Team, which consists of Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren and Boba Fett. We end the trailer with the release date of June 11th and the pre-order bonus which are two unique dice sets.
