Capitalising on the resounding success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, HBO drops the fierce new teaser trailer of House of the Dragon, taking the fans back into the intricately woven succession drama set in the ever-expansive world of George R.R. Martin.

Season 2 had been the build-up to the era-defining Targaryen civil war set in the world of GRRM. Season 3 kicks off exactly where things were left off previously. The teaser trailer shows that the hope for diplomacy is past. 

Much-wanted dragon-on-dragon battle sequences, a grandiose naval battle, more and more court intrigue, and familial squabbles. There’s no abundance of familiar characters in the fantasy drama, but season 3 will see the inclusion of some new characters (and even dragons!). The teaser trailer shows that they are not pulling back any punches, and only time will tell if they have listened to the criticism for season 2. 

House of the Dragon season 3 premieres this June. The returning cast includes Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Fabien Frankel, Steve Toussaint, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, and many more.
