‘Fortnite Blitz Royale’ Evolution Missions And Rewards
This new Fortnite season brings about a new type of missions in Blitz Royale. Here’s what you need to know.
Fortnite Blitz Royale is a smaller scale version of the Battle Royale we know today. Up to 32 players are dropped onto a remixed version of the Fortnite island with a starting weapon and perk. The storm moves much faster in this mode resulting in matches that typically last around 5 minutes max. The mode also features a number of Mythic Weapons throughout Fortnite’s history at the time of writing, there is currently a Marvel Blitz mode that includes weapons based on Chapter 5, Season 4: Absolute Doom.
Following the launch of Fortnite Chapter Seven, Season Two, Blitz Royale saw the inclusion of Evolution Missions. These are missions that evolve as players complete them, increasing in difficulty and rewarding more Season XP in the process. These missions also feature some daily bonus goals for even more Season XP. Today we’ll discuss the evolution missions, what kinds are available, and how much XP you can earn with each.
Fortnite BLitz Royale Evolution Missions & Rewards
Players start off with three Stage 1 Evolution Missions, there are three stages in total and players must complete all three stages to unlock any additional quests (alternatively, they can wait for the daily reset to be given three new missions), see a list of every type of evolution mission below:

| Search a Chest and an Ammo Box in a Single Match. | Search a Chest and an Ammo Box within 30 Seconds of Each Other. | |
| Hit Players 25 Times. | Hit Players while Airborne or Sliding 25 Times. | Eliminate 3 Players while Airborne or Sliding. |
| Travel 250 Metres. | Travel 125 Metres while Sliding. | Travel 75 Metres after hitting a Player. |
| Collect 15 Items. | Collect 7 Epic or Better Weapons. | Collect 5 Epic or Better Weapons in a Single Match |
| Deal 250 Damage to Players. | Deal 125 Damage consecutively without Reloading or Switching Weapons. | |

As you can see, every time you complete an evolution mission, both the difficulty and reward of the quest increase. Additionally, completing 9 Evolution Missions each day grants you an extra 20,000 Season XP (0.25 Levels).
It’s unclear if/when the Evolution Missions will end but we encourage you to complete them as soon as you can to help level up your various passes, especially the new Showdown Battle Pass, which launched last week.
