The first teaser for the Lilo & Stitch live-action remake has been released and with it a quick glimpse at the recreation of the icon Stitch.
The latest in a long line of Disney live-action remakes, Lilo & Stitch is a remake of the 2002 of the same name. The original was directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, 8 years before they would reteam for How To Train Your Dragon, and starred Sanders as Stitch.
What Happens In The ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Trailer?
The trailer is a short one, only running for approximately 30 seconds. In the trailer, we see a shot of the sea, which pans to a beach. Soon, we see a sand castle version of the iconic Disneyland one, before it is smashed into pieces by Stitch, who acts as a kaiju in comparison to a bunch of sand castles. While the film’s logos appear, Stitch comes in from the right side of the white screen and licks the words off, before rubbing his nose and running away.
It’s a short but effective teaser, displaying some possible mayhem that we will see in the film. The logline for the film reads as follows:
A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.
