The first look at Glen Powell’s next project, Chad Powers, was just unveiled in a new promotional reel. Watch the Chad Powers promo below.
One of the industry’s biggest rising stars right now, Glen Powell, is on a hot streak. From cult classic rom-com Anyone But You, to thrilling Linklater film Hit Man, the star is definitely on the rise. To continue this, he’s chosen to collaborate with Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron for the series Chad Powers.
The first look at the series was released as part of a Disney+ 2025 slate promotional reel. It’s a compilation of scenes from the upcoming series, amassing a runtime of twelve seconds.
The promo opens up with Powell’s Russ Holliday in a car. Next, a scene of the character he creates within the show, Chad Powers, can be seen catching a football and dodging a few players. A scene of Russ recording himself shirtless on a phone in a locker room follows. In that scene, he’s recording a message for fans saying “What’s up? It’s Russ Holliday, former quarterback.”
While driving, Russ takes off his glasses and the words “But I’m not done with football” ring over the scene. Another scene shows Russ getting makeup put on to play his character of Chad Powers. A woman named Ricky tells Chad “You get to decide who you are.” Another scene has Russ saying “My name is Chad Powers” and a consecutive clip shows our first look at Steve Zahn’s character. Finally, we get Chad playing ball again.
Chad Powers is developed by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron and stars Glen Powell as the titular character. The series is expected to be released next year on Hulu.
