The time has come yet again, the official start of the next awards race ahead of the 98th Academy Awards, Festival de Cannes, has just announced its lineup for its competition as well as some other highly anticipated films out of competition. Find out the Cannes Film Festival 2025 Lineup.

Last year’s Cannes Film Festival saw the debut of the eventual Oscar winner Anora so of course, eyes are glued to the French festival for any hint at what we can expect come Oscar season. Earlier today, the announcement for the In Competition, Un Certain Regard, Out of Competition, Midnight Screenings, Cannes Premiere, Special Screenings, and Opening Night categories was held. Of course, as with every year, this list is not finalized and other films, such as Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, have been offered a spot in the slate but are yet to confirm acceptance. Notable films that are not included in the slate include Terrence Malick’s long anticipated The Way of the Wind, Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice, Lynne Ramsay’s Die, My Love, among others.
