All Upcoming Film Release Dates – 2026 And Beyond
With 2025 nearing it’s conclusion, it is time to set sights on what’s to come in the upcoming years of film. Here’s a look at films releasing in 2026 and beyond.
It’s unquestionably been an eventful year for film, whether you think it was bad or good, 2025 has had many films which are already deemed instant classics, from Sinners to One Battle After Another with these last two months left in the year potentially giving us more hits with films like Hamnet and Marty Supreme. With 2025 nearing completion and with us knowing how active next year will be in terms of cinema, we figured now is the best time to write this article regarding all of the upcoming releases.
2026 contains a lot of films which many are anticipating, from indie performance-driven movies like The Drama to massive blockbusters like The Odyssey and speaking of the latter, there are also a lot of directors making their return such as Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Steven Spielberg, Greta Gerwig and more, with big stars returning as well on the big screen such as Tom Cruise, Timothée Chalamet, Anne Hathaway, Ryan Gosling, and more.
But to get all of this out of the way, while listing every single film dated to release in the future, it should be known that release dates are always switching all of the time, and this article will be covering all of the release dates as of the time of publication. It’s also significant to note that this article will also be covering release dates for upcoming 2027 & 2028 releases as well as future films with no release date and when we think they’ll end up releasing, the finest recent example of this is Bong Joon-ho’s upcoming animated feature about sea creatures, which we think could end up as a late 2026 release.

It may seem like the year isn’t as packed after the first four months of it, but that’s because there are a lot of projects that are yet to receive a release date, which is the next topic that will be covered. Of course this ranges from films which are confirmed to release in 2026, films which were delayed from 2025 and aren’t on the slate anymore, and films we think are very likely to release next year due to production/post-production process.
For last year’s article regarding 2025 releases and beyond, most of the films under the 2025 Films With No Release Dates subcategory did indeed release in 2025 with the exception for a few such as I Want Your Sex and The Way of the Wind for example.
