A little over a week since our last glimpse at Alien: Earth, FX has released a new teaser hinting at the upcoming series.
One of FX’s biggest upcoming projects, Alien: Earth, has just released a new teaser titled “Reflections”. While not much new footage can be seen in the 42-second teaser, there are some new details. The series logline reads as follows:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.
‘Alien: Earth’ “Reflections” Teaser
Largely, the teaser is reminiscent of the one shown in theatres alongside Alien: Romulus back in August, but now with interpolated glitch effects showcasing various aspects of the series. The teaser opens with the Earth, that soon turns into the reflection of a snarling Xenomorph. Narration can be heard over the top of the trailer, stating “In 2120, Mother Earth is expecting.” The narration is a clever play on motherhood and pregnancy, playing into mythological and spiritual beliefs about Earth being a figurative mother. What Earth is expecting, however, seems to be quite sinister, with the implication of Xenomorphs. This narration also confirms the timeline of the series, taking place in 2120.
As the title card displays on screen, glitches can be seen. They are quite quick and not too much can be made of it definitively, with the exception of the left side of a cow’s face. As well as what seems to be a woman facing left.
A poster was also released for the series, revealing a Summer 2025 release for the FX series. It features a cracking egg effect, nearly identical to the one seen on the poster of the original 1979 film. You can see that below:
Alien: Earth stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Alex Lawther as CJ, and Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh. The series is showrun, written, and directed by Noah Hawley and is expected to release on Hulu in Summer 2025.
