Almost a month away from the release of Lee Isaac Chung’s Twisters, we at Feature First can exclusively report the final runtime for the film.
What is ‘Twisters’?
Twisters, the pseudo-sequel to the cult classic Twister, follows Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar Jones), an ex-storm-chaser who left the weather-chasing game after encountering a devastating encounter with a tornado.
Kate is then drawn back out into the field by her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) as they test some groundbreaking technology, relevant to the first film’s plot. Doing this, they cross paths with Tyler Owen, played by Glen Powell, a rival storm-chaser and a social media superstar.
Runtime
The first film in the franchise comes in at a modest 1hr 53mins. Though relatively short, it’s even shorter when you subtract the credits, coming in at 1:45:54, or about 106 minutes.
This is a stark contrast to the runtime of the upcoming film, which we can exclusively report is 2 hours and 2 minutes long (122 minutes).
