Chad Powers is a persona created by Eli Manning for his show Eli’s Places. Eli wore prosthetics to go undercover as “Chad Powers” to try out at Penn State College for his show. And then came Glen Powell’s Chad Powers which was a fictionalized version where Glen’s Russ Holiday had the same initial storyline in the first season which then involved into getting the job and doing whatever it takes to keep the lie going.

Season 1 ended with the Catfish’s Assistant Coach Ricky Hudson finding out about Chad being Russ Holiday and confronting him about it. Season 2 will pick right after those events as it will depict the second half of the season.

Chad Powers is a superstar on the field but his odd behavior off it has everyone suspicious – especially Coach Hudson and Gerry. Ricky knows the truth, but if Russ and Danny want Chad to survive the regular season and lead the Catfish to the College Football Playoff, she’s their only hope.
