‘Ghost Rider’: Ryan Gosling Officially Joins MCU In New Film

SDCC is coming to a close this weekend, but tonight is Marvel’s night to break the internet. In their nearly hour long Hall H panel, It was revealed that a long rumored casting will finally materialize. Ryan Gosling is officially set to play Ghost Rider in a brand new self-titled feature film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film is currently set for a 2028 release, and Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy is tapped to helm the film. Levy and Gosling both worked together to bring the next Star Wars film, Star Wars: Starfighter to the big screen this upcoming May. Details on Ghost Rider are obviously sparse at the moment, but a logo was officially unveiled on stage. You can view it below:
Marvel Studios’ Ghost Rider will star Ryan Gosling and be directed by Shawn Levy. In theaters 2028.
