Big Bang Spin-Off ‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe’ Gets Social Pages
The Big Bang Theory Spin-Off has just launched official pages for behind the scenes, exclusive content and more
Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, follows Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) as he’s tasked with saving reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki Isaac Hager)
Read the official synopsis below:
“Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), geologist friend Bert (Posehn), and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke (Bowie). Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory. As the title implies, things don’t go well.”
The upcoming HBO Max series was first said to be in the works in April 2023 but it wasn’t until the Warner Bros Discovery Upfront presentation that the formerly untitled The Big Bang Theory spin-off was announced. Fast forward a year later to October 2024 where we’d learn that the series would centre around Kevin Sussman’s Stuart Bloom with the title, Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, being revealed a few months later in March 2025. The show was given a series order by HBO Max in July of that year. The series filmed from September 2025 until February 2026.
The initial cast which includes Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn, and Lauren Lapkus who play Stuart Bloom, Bert Kibbler, and Denise, respectively, was announced in October 2024 with John Ross Bowie who plays Barry Kripke joining in February 2025. As of August 2025, Ryan Cartwright, Josh Brener, and Tommy Walker were also cast in unknown roles.
Back in December, we had our first look at the upcoming series in the “Coming In 2026 | HBO Max” Promo Video. In the very brief footage, we saw a close-up of Stuart (Kevin Sussman) followed by Bert Kibbler (Brian Psehn) who appears tied up in what seems to be a sacrifice.
Today, ahead of the CCXP Panel, Stuart Fails To Save The Universe social pages have gone live. We’ll discuss the introduction video and what to expect next.
