DC Studios ‘Clayface’ Trailer To Be Released This Week
Clayface will reportedly release its first trailer later this week. Read the full Clayface trailer release date article.
With production on the next DC Studios project ramping up, all eyes are towards the marketing for this year’s releases. Supergirl has already had its fair share of promotion, with several trailers, cross-brand promotions, and TV spots, but Clayface is yet to have a single public piece of footage or key art. Now, a new report has the Clayface trailer release date as coming out sooner rather than later.
Twitter outlet DCVers0 reports that the first teaser for Clayface will be released publicly on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. We recently had Clayface news earlier this month as the film and its production company DC Studios had a presence at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Warner Bros. Pictures panel. There, the first teaser was shown exclusively to exhibitors and press members.
DC Studios Trailer-Film Release Gaps

This Clayface trailer news makes a gap of almost 6 months between first trailer and release of the film, which is set to arrive in theatres on October 23, 2026. In comparison, Superman released its teaser in December 2024, marking a 7 month period. For Supergirl, it marked 6 months and change.
Clayface tells the story of an aspiring actor who, disfigured, takes an experimental treatment resulting in him turning into the clay monster Batman fans have grown to love over the years. The film takes inspiration from projects such as Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance and David Cronenberg’s The Fly, playing into body horror elements with horror-auteur Mike Flanagan behind the script for the project.
The film stars Tom Rhys Harries, Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan and David Dencik. The film is set to be released in theatres on October 23rd, 2026.
