‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Trading Cards Coming To Nintendo Today! App In Celebration of Mario Day
As part of Mario Day celebrations, starting March 10th, players who open the app can receive digital Super Mario Galaxy Movie trading cards inspired by the film.
The final The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct has just concluded. The presentation featured the final trailer for the film which included some extended scenes such as the first encounter with Bowser Junior (Benny Safdie) and focused heavily on the planets we’ll visit throughout the film. Following the trailer and some words from Chris Meledandri, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that a number of Super Mario Galaxy Movie trading cards will be available on the official Nintendo Today! app as part of the Mario 40th Anniversary Celebrations, highlighting the film as a centrepiece of the event.
Today we’ll discuss the trading cards, how many are available and when you can start collecting them.
‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie‘ Trading Cards Explained
Starting tomorrow, March 10th (Mario Day), players who log into the Nintendo Today! app will receive a random trading card featuring a character from The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
There are 40 Cards in total and players can collect all of them by logging in daily for the next 40 Days (until April 18th). Through the direct we know about three of these cards: #002 is Mario, #006 is Rosalina and #022 is Birdo.
Additionally, if you check in at the theatre with the Official Nintendo Today! app you’ll be able to download special wallpapers and digital photo frames.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser and more. The film hits theatres on April 1st, 2026. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Trading Cards are available on the Official Nintendo Today! app from March 10th until April 18th.
