After meeting with Kelson (Ralph Fiennes), Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) realises that Kelson is not his supposed father, Satan, and threatens Kelson to pretend that he is Satan to further keep up his charade in front of the other Jimmies (aka the Fingers). The next morning, Kelson awakens and begins decorating the ostuary, the titular Bone Temple, with candles, a gasoline trench, and a generator for his performance as Old Nick, aka Satan.

That night, the Jimmies enter the ostuary and find all the candles alight. They enter the main area and Iron Maiden begins playing, and given Jimmies’ primitive understanding of the world, think he is committing divine acts. He performs to the song, singing and dancing, and throws a stick on the ground, which ignites the gasoline trench, making a burning circle.

Kelson gives the Jimmies three commands (as previously laid out by Jimmy Crystal), but when he sees that Spike (Alfie Williams) is one of the masked Jimmies, he gives a fourth command: to crucify Jimmy Crystal, akin to how Christ was crucified to join his father God. This leads to Jimmy Crystal stabbing Kelson, and Spike stabbing Crystal, with Jimmy Ink (Erin Kellyman) killing the remaining Jimmies. Jimmy Ink decides to follow through with the last command and crucifies Kelson upside down on a cross in the ostuary. She and Spike leave, introducing each other to their real names, with Ink’s name being Kelly.

As Jimmy Crystal slowly dies, he claims he has finally stopped hearing his father (presumed to be some type of mental illness), and with the blood rushing to his head, he sees the silhouette of Samson, and hallucinates that he has horns, begging his father for help.

As we leave the Bone Temple for one last moment in the movie, we cut to a scenic countryside in the daytime, presumably a long while after the last scene. A girl is being taught history by her father, who is revealed to be Jim, Cillian Murphy’s protagonist from the first 28 Days Later film. When the girl hears something, Jim and his daughter grab guns and investigate, seeing two people (presumed to be Spike and Kelly) in the distance jumping over a cobbled wall as a group of infected chase them.

The girl asks if they should help, and Jim says they should, and they run towards the two strangers, as the original John Murphy 28 Days Later theme music ramps up and transitions into the credits.
