‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Finale Trailer: The End Is Near
It all comes down to this as The Party prepares to face off against Vecna and the Mind Flayer once and for all in the series finale.
After a decade-long wait, Stranger Things finally comes to an end after five seasons on January 31st, 2025. The series began in the Hawkins National Laboratory, where a scientist was seen running from something, as he approached the elevator, he was seemingly killed. Fast forward to our main characters known as “The Party”, Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), and Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), who were playing Dungeons & Dragons one night. After the session ended, Will made his way home, but something strange followed him eventually capturing him. The first season went on to focus on finding Will and revealing the mysterious place known as the Upside Down, which the Hawkins National Laboratory was investigating. Along the way they encountered the mysterious 011 (Eleven or El) who possessed psychic abilities and was revealed to be another experiment by the Hawkins lab. Here is what you need to know about the finale trailer for Stranger Things Season 5.
Season 5 of Stranger Things was greenlit on February 17, 2022 alongside a spinoff series set in that universe. Production began on January 8th, 2024 and concluded on December 20th of that year. The season would premiere in three parts with the first two volumes premiering on November 26th, 2025 and December 25th, 2025. The eight and final episode of the series will premiere on December 31st 2025 and today, hours before the episode airs we have a Season 5 Finale trailer which you can view below:
What Happens In The Strange Things 5 Finale Trailer?

The trailer which lasts for 1 Minute and 36 Seconds opens in the Upside Down. We see some military vehicles approach the Hawkins Laboratory. Tom Hopper (David Harbour) tells Eleven “I need you to fight, one last time.” The Netflix logo appears, and we cut to flashbacks of Season 1 where Will encounters the Demogorgon for the first time, Eleven is seen in the Hawkins Lab and the group is seen readying to fight, the group attacking the Spider Monster at Starcourt Mall, Eleven walking away with Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine), Max (Sadie Sink) floating above the graveyard, Eleven’s encounter with Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), Henry Creel and Eleven facing off. Tom continues to narrate during those scenes “Life has been so unfair to you. Your childhood was taken from you. You’ve been attacked… Manipulated… By Terrible People.”
Hopper continues, “But you never let it break you. Fight for the days on the other side of this. Fight for a world beyond Hawkins.” as we see scenes including Eleven hugging Dustin and Mike, followed by everyone hugging Will during his coming out scene in Season 5, Volume 2. We see a group shot of Murray (Brett Gelman), Tom, Eleven and Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) followed by Eleven and Kali investigating something underground. They locate the Sensory Deprivation Tank and Tom opens it for Eleven. Dustin and Lucas are looking out at the sky which shoots red lightning. “One Episode Left” flashes on screen during scenes such as Vecna attached to the heart of what seems to be the Mind Flayer, an explosion which sees Dustin is seen shouting and a glimpse of Vecna’s Hand. We then see glimpses of Tom Hopper, Eleven, Max and Kali in front of a window and finally Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathon (Charlie Heaton).
Tom Hopper says “Let’s end this kid.” Joyce (Winona Ryder) is seen with Lucas, Dustin and Jonathan. The Mind Flayer’s final form is seemingly shown, Dustin says “Mother of God” and we cut to what seems to be the sky crashing down. The Stranger Things logo is shown, “The Final Episode” appears on screen followed by “Volumes 1 + 2 Now Playing” and “The Finale New Year’s Eve.
