‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Steve Rogers Teaser Leaks Online, Cast Grows Larger

Not even a day before Avatar: Fire and Ash releases around the globe, the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser has leaked online to millions of fans. The trailer, which was previously reported (and confirmed by us) to follow Steve Rogers, released online as a camrip, marking what seems to be a tradition in a long line of event film trailers being leaked (see Avengers: Infinity War: Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: No Way Home). Now, the trailer has leaked online, with audiences on Twitter reacting in both a positive and negative manner to the news. Some praise the company for bringing back Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, saying that the company ultimately knows what audiences want, whilst others criticize the company for cheaping out on their new characters they’ve established for nostalgia bait, whilst others straight up call it racism (about overshadowing Mackie’s Captain America).

As we exclusively reported, the next two Avengers: Doomsday teasers will follow Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and then Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.). The fourth is unknown but will likely be an actual teaser for the film.

Chris Evans Officially Joins The Cast Of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

With this leak, the cast of Avengers: Doomsday does officially grow by one, and the film now stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant Man, Simu Liu as Shang Chi, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

Not only will this cast of characters star in the film but the stars of Thunderbolts* (Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John Kamen, Wyatt Russell, and Lewis Pullman) and the stars of The Fantastic Four: First Steps (Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach) will also star in the film.

Further, a returning cast of X-Men characters has been confirmed to return, including the likes of Channing Tatum as Gambit, James Marsden as Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler.

Avengers: Doomsday is directed by the Russo Brothers and is expected to be released on December 18th, 2026.
