‘Creature Commandos’ Season 1 Ending & Post Credit Scene Explained
The first season of Creature Commandos has come to an end. Here’s everything we know from the end of the episode and its post-credit scene.
What Is Creature Commandos About?
The official trailer revealed that series villain Circe (Anya Chalotra) wants to kill Princess Ilana Rostovic (Maria Bakalova), so Task Force M is tasked with rescuing her. We will also touch on the origin story of each character as indicated by the creation of Dr. Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk) and The Bride (Indira Varma), among others.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
Creature Commandos tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails…they’re your last, worst option.
Creature Commandos Ending Explained
The team eventually achieves their goal of killing Princess Ilana (Maria Bakalova) at the cost of Nina Mazursky’s (Zoë Chao) life. It’s revealed that she hired Clayface (Alan Tudyk) to impersonate Professor MacPherson and help discredit Circe’s (Anya Chalotra) vision of her starting World War III and eliminating Metahumans.
With the death of the princess, it’s possible that World War III could still occur, but the team manages to leave Pokolistan before any of the guards notice the Princess’ death, a plot point that could be addressed in the second season.
Additionally, The Bride (Indira Varma) was given a new team of Creature Commandos featuring some familiar faces in the form of Dr. Phosphorus(Alan Tudyk), Weasel (Sean Gunn), an upgraded GI Robot (Sean Gunn), as well as some new faces such as King Shark (Diedrich Bader), Nosferata and Khalis.
The fate of Rick Flag Sr (Frank Grillo) isn’t addressed, though it’s likely that he’s still recovering before appearing in the upcoming Superman and Peacemaker Season 2.
Are There Any Post Credit Scenes For Creature Commandos?
There is one post credit scene for the season one finale of Creature Commandos. It reveals that Eric Frankenstein survived yet another attack from The Bride. He’s having a meal with his Pokolistan contact who we met all the way in Episode 1, the old woman (Maria Bakalova).
This implies that Eric could show up not only in the second season of Creature Commandos but also other projects in the new DC Universe (DCU).
