As part of the ongoing collaboration between NetEase Games and Marvel Games, a new Marvel mobile game has been announced, Marvel Mystic Mayhem.
Today a new Marvel mobile game was announced, Marvel Mystic Mayhem described as a free-to-play, team-based tactical RPG for mobile platforms. The game is made in collaboration with NetEase Games who you may know as the developers for Marvel Rivals which arrives later this year on December 6th.
What is ‘Marvel Mystic Mayhem’ About?
From the first trailer, we witness Wanda seeing a vision of the supervillain Nightmare’s attack, in order to combat this various teams are formed to take down enemies.
Per the synopsis:
“As Nightmare unearths the darkest dreams of the waking, reality morphs to reflect their deepest fears! Battle the Lord of Dreams as he invades the minds of iconic heroes and villains, awakening their inner fears to destroy the waking world!”
Some more details regarding the plot can be found on the official website:
“Join forces with iconic Super Heroes as they clash with the sinister forces of Nightmare, the malevolent lord of the Dream Dimension, as he seeks to dominate the waking world. Get a glimpse into the deepest fears of Super Heroes such as Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, and Captain America as Nightmare transforms their dreams into dangerous dungeons. Drawing energy from the Mindscape, Doctor Strange and Sleepwalker must arm their allies with dream energy to form a three-hero battle team delving into the heart of each harrowing nightmare to avert the collapse of reality.”
The gameplay for the first trailer was fairly minimal, we saw our heroes fight some of Nightmare’s minions and got glimpses of their special moves but not much beyond that. Some of the bosses were also teased. You can view the trailer below:
Who’s in the ‘Marvel Mystic Mayhem’ Roster?
Marvel Mystic Mayhem has a wide range of characters from many corners of the Marvel universe. With the game centering around Nightmare, there is a primary focus on supernatural characters such as Doctor Strange and The Scarlet Witch. You can view the full roster below:

The trailer also shows Thor, Angela and Black Knight who while not listed on the official website at the time of writing are likely to become playable as official artwork has been made. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the Baxter Building which could indicate that members of the Fantastic Four will join the roster at a later date.
