A new trailer for the Blumhouse Wolf Man remake gives us a better look at the titular monster.
Blumhouse’s first movie of the new year, Wolf Man, is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated horror flicks of the year. Only five weeks after the release of the teaser trailer, we now have a new trailer for the Blumhouse x Universal co-production. You can watch the full length trailer below:
Starring Christopher Abbott as the eponymous Wolf Man, a husband who is inflicted with a curse that turns him into a ravaging beast every full moon. The condition endangers his family, wife Charlotte (Julia Garner) and daughter Ginger (Matlida Firth). Soon, the mother and daughter must do everything in their power to evade the Wolf Man.
A synopsis for the film reads:
“Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma).
But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.”
A poster was also released, showcasing a dark but moonlit night as well as Garner and Firth’s characters cowering in fear. You can see the poster below:
