Following a successful start to the year with AMC’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, we will soon return to the universe with the second seasons of Daryl Dixon and Dead City.
Attending SDCC this year were none other than the casts of the hit AMC series The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. After the first seasons of both premiered, they were promptly renewed and now following a wrap on Dead City Season 2, the cast and crew headed to San Diego for the annual Comic Con celebrations.
‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol’ Trailer
A full-length trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol was released and showcased how Carol (Melissa McBride) reunites with Daryl (Norman Reedus) following their departure at the end of The Walking Dead. You can watch that trailer below:
Also at SDCC, Daryl Dixon was confirmed to be renewed for a third season. It is unknown if the third season will keep the The Book of Carol subtitle. A synopsis for Season 3 reads:
“Season three tracks Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) as they continue their journey towards home and the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Season 2 Teaser
Fans attending the Californian convention were further treated to a teaser for a 2025 season of The Walking Dead: Dead City. In that trailer, we see Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) working his magic on the island of Manhattan while Maggie (Lauren Cohan) contemplates saving him. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride and Clémence Poésy. It will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on September 29, 2024. The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan and is due for a 2025 release on AMC and AMC+.
